This annual one-day symposium is named after its founder, Gerry Hedley, who was a Reader at The Courtauld Institute of Art and a leader of pioneering research in. Tickets are now available to purchase through Eventbrite, until Friday 2nd June. On June 9th several of us attended the Gerry Hedley Symposium at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. This yearly event offers a great opportunity for postgraduate conservation students from the Courtauld, the Hamilton Kerr Institute (Cambridge), and Northumbria University to present their research to their peers and to conservation professionals.

The Gerry Hedley Student Symposium: Conservation of Fine Art. The annual student symposium between Courtauld Institute of Art, Hamilton Kerr Institute-Cambridge University and Northumbria University Conservation of Fine Art Programme began over 30 years ago.

Each institution takes turns in hosting this event and June marks Northumbria’s. This year the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge, will be hosting the 37th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium. It will be held on Monday 3rd June at Trinity College. The 31th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium is being hosted by the students and interns of the Hamilton Kerr Institute.

The event will feature final-year students from all three UK postgraduate painting conservation programs (Hamilton Kerr Institute, Courtauld Institute of Art, Northumbria University), who will present their research projects.

The Icon Paintings Group is delighted to announce the 34th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium, hosted this year by the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge. This annual conference, named in honour of Gerry Hedley, an esteemed educator and researcher in the conservation field, will showcase the research of near and recent graduates from the main painting conservation.

Icon Paintings Group are pleased to announce that the 36th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium will be returning to Newcastle on Monday 4 Juneand will be hosted once again by Northumbria University. The symposium, named in honour of Gerry Hedley, conservation researcher and educator, will allow for final year students of paintings and paper conservation training courses to.
