This yearly event offers a great opportunity for postgraduate conservation students from the Courtauld, the Hamilton Kerr Institute (Cambridge), and Northumbria University to present their research to their peers and to conservation professionals.
The Gerry Hedley Student Symposium: Conservation of Fine Art. The annual student symposium between Courtauld Institute of Art, Hamilton Kerr Institute-Cambridge University and Northumbria University Conservation of Fine Art Programme began over 30 years ago.
Each institution takes turns in hosting this event and June marks Northumbria’s. This year the Hamilton Kerr Institute, University of Cambridge, will be hosting the 37th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium. It will be held on Monday 3rd June at Trinity College. The 31th Annual Gerry Hedley Symposium is being hosted by the students and interns of the Hamilton Kerr Institute.
The event will feature final-year students from all three UK postgraduate painting conservation programs (Hamilton Kerr Institute, Courtauld Institute of Art, Northumbria University), who will present their research projects.
